QUEST, the bi-lingual academic journal of Uluberia College, started its journey in the year 2005. Since 2005 the journal has been published uninterruptedly in every year and in the year 2010 we have received the ISSN number. And we have also succeeded in making it a peer reviewed journal. Academicians of various disciplines have happily agreed to act as the reviewers and we are really grateful to them. Since its inception the journal has been able to draw appreciation from the academicians of different institutions. The faculty members of different departments of our College regularly contribute articles for the journal. We also invite articles from the faculty members of other Colleges and they oblige us by contributing their articles. It is our regular practice to devote the first part of our journal to commemorate the Centenary or Post Centenary Golden Jubilee of distinguished persons in the field of literature, science, philosophy spirituality etc and the second part of the journal is devoted to the articles contributed by teachers of different departments from their own research areas. The constant cooperation from our faculty members, valuable suggestions from the members of the Advisory Committee and above all the encouragement as well as financial help from the College authority have made possible the regular publication of the journal successfully.
'Quest : A Bi-lingual Peer Reviewed Academic Journal' is targeted to a large audience including students and young researchers of diverse disciplines. All prospective authors are cordially invited to contribute their original research papers to the editorial board. While preparing and submitting your article, please follow the instructions given in the 'Guide to Authors' and 'Submit your paper'. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisherand the society of society-owned or sponsored journals.
